Hafs vs Qalun
Hafs and Qalun are both traced to the second century of hijrah through different chains. Qalun (from Nafi') is the standard recitation in Libya and parts of Tunisia; Hafs is the global default.

Qalun, like Warsh, does not count the Basmala as the first ayah of Al-Fatihah.

Qalun applies madd munfasil (separated elongation) of four counts, while Hafs applies it in four or five. Many vowels that Hafs renders fully, Qalun softens.
